Advice pre-Super

Question

I have a question regarding advise on Superannuation. I have 8 months left in the Defence Force before I finish my 20 years and receive about $190,000. I do not need to spend any off this money however I am looking at buying a house in AK in a year or so.

What do you consider to be the best place to put my money for a year or more?

Easy answer .. stay in quality cash deposits for any period below 18 - 24 months. Keep away from contributory mortgages regardless of the term or rate. Capital stability and surety of capital repayment is what it is all about at the moment - please do not forget it.
